AUSTIN TEXAS SUMMER NAMM - JULY 2007
Gretsch Booth 839
The Summer NAMM was once again held at the Austin Convention Center deep down in the heart of Texas.
Known as the "Live Music Capital of the World", Austin has much to offer. Although typically smaller
than the Winter Show, those in attendence got a chance to have quality time with dealers, manufacturers,
and artists.
Gretsch Booth 839 featured the complete line of Gretsch Gear and Bigsby products including apparel,
accessories, and collectibles. New Gretsch wearables and Bigsby Vibrato kits were on display as well as
the new vibrato and guitar T-shirts.
As a special treat, Bigsby presented vibrato installation demos by Adam Seutter. At every show we
field a slew of questions regarding installations. Most are along the lines of, "Can I put a Bigsby on
my electric guitar and if so... what Bigsby do I need?". Our answer is always "yes", and many times
we recommend the B5 or B7. In order to enlighten the True Vibrato enthusiasts we installed Bigsby's
on several guitars in our booth during the show including Telecaster, Les Paul, and Daisy Rock Stardust.
People are usually relieved to see how simple and straight forward the installation is. We wanted to show that
putting a Bigsby on a guitar takes little time and can often increase the value of the instrument and
certainly the coolness factor. Our man Adam demonstrated the install process in as little as 15 minutes on a
few of the guitars during the show.
