Arlington Guitar Show
Arlington, Texas October 20 - 21, 2007
Billed as "The World's Largest Vintage Guitar Event", this year's Arlington Guitar Show was as big as the state that hosted it.
With over 5000 attendees, the show was jammed with dealers, collectors and enthusiasts; all eager to peruse all things guitar.
Bigsby was on hand for those interested in the original true vibrato. The booth was manned by our knowledgeable guitar-tech
Adam Seutter. He took time to answer many questions and demonstrate Bigsby installations. Guitar shows like this, always bring
out the many fans and luthiers who tell stories of their favorite guitar; usually with a Bigsby tailpiece on it. Adam stated
that there was an influx of people under the age of 30 stopping by the booth. Many of whom "hadn't ever heard of Bigsby and
were curious as to how [Bigsbys] worked" and what guitars they could be installed on. That's easy... all of 'em!
When answering questions regarding what model consumers should purchase, we often recommend the B5 or the B7 style.
They are specifically designed to fit flat or arch-top electric guitars; regardless of the manufacturer. One gentleman
took us up on a free show install for his Telecaster (see picture). He thanked us for coming to the show to promote and
demonstrate how to install a Bigsby.
This Arlington show was good in reminding us that there are lots of people that continue to appreciate and admire the
classic design and super-performance of a Bigsby. Adam sums it up best. "The love for Bigsby is certainly out
there". TRUE VIBRATO
