Chicago Guitar Show-Featuring Fred Gretsch!

Chicago land in May sounds like the perfect setting for…a guitar show? You know it! The weekend of May 15-16 hosted the annual Texas Amigos guitar show at the DuPage Expo Center.  Normally, thousands of visitors and cool guitars is enough to create a buzz; but for this show we here at Bigsby upped the ante. Company owner Fred Gretsch dropped by the show to sign copies of Andy Babiuk’s The Story of Paul Bigsby; Father of the Modern Electric Solidbody Guitar and  the Gretsch Special Edition Beatles Gear books. Bigsby vibratos we found throughout the show on everything from SGs to 1950s jazz boxes. Visitors to the show were treated to a truly outstanding variety of  vintage  instruments.
