Mark Knopfler
Mark Knopfler - With his break through self-titled Dire Straits album, released in 1978, he revealed his signature finger picking style and sweet tone. Tasty can best describe his playing for he has a unique ability to squeeze just the right sequence notes out of every riff. Initially revered for his out-of-phase Strat tone, he has evolved into a performer of many flavors.
He has worked with and produced many top artists including: Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, Eric Clapton, and Chet Atkins - with whom he won a Grammy Award in 1986 for Best County Instrumental, “Cosmic Square Dance”.
